MANILA, Philippines — Illegal vape products worth P12 million were seized in Bacoor, Cavite on Thursday afternoon as authorities intensified the crackdown against smuggling.
Agents of the police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) confiscated 15 boxes and 40 master cases containing assorted vape products in a raid in Barangay Molino III.
Two people identified only as Dante and Juliana were arrested for selling the illegal items, according to CIDG chief Maj. Gen. Robert Alexander Morico II.
Authorities said the vape products were hazardous to health as these contained toxic and addictive substances.
Acting Philippine National Police chief Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. warned smugglers to stop their illegal activities as the PNP has intensified operations against crimes involving economic sabotage.
