NOVELETA, Cavite — This city will soon have a Material Recovery Station (MRS) following the project’s groundbreaking ceremony on Saturday.
The project will be constructed at Sitio Tabing Dagat, T.I.P in Barangay San Rafael 3 here, marking a key milestone in strengthening solid waste management in the community.
Mayor Davey Chua, Vice Mayor Dino Chua, the town council, Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office’s Leah Balen and SR3 village chief Elvis Estores and representative from #BetterWithWater attended the groundbreaking program and the lowering of the time capsule.
Chua said that a clean and organized community reflects collective care and shared responsibility.
The mayor also announced that the municipality will cover the cost of waste collection services, ensuring that proper waste management remains free and accessible for residents.
With construction set to finish by mid-November and operations beginning by early December, this marks a major step toward a cleaner, healthier, and more resilient Noveleta.
