MANILA, Philippines — A Nigerian was injured after he was shot by a robber in General Trias City, Cavite on Saturday.
In a report, police said the Nigerian, identified only as Cypril, was walking to his girlfriend’s house along Arnaldo Highway in Barangay San Francisco when two men approached him and announced a robbery.
When Cypril resisted, one of the men pulled out a gun and shot the foreigner in the back. The robbers took his wristwatch, cell phone and wallet before fleeing.
Bystanders brought Cypril to the Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital where he is recuperating.
Police investigators have requested for footages from closed-circuit television from commercial establishments and residential houses for leads on the identities of the suspects.
