A motorcycle rider died after slipping on the road and being run over by a bus along a national highway in Tanza, Cavite.
In Bam Alegre’s Thursday report on “24 Oras,” CCTV footage showed that the bus behind the motorcycle was moving slowly and immediately stopped when the rider lost his balance on Wednesday evening.
According to the police, the 21-year-old victim was heading to a resort with his friend when the motorcycle slipped, throwing both riders off. The other passenger survived because they did not fall onto the road, while the victim’s head was run over by the bus.
He was brought to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
The driver and operator of the bus coordinated with the police and settled with the victim’s family, who will not be filing charges against them.
The police said the hospital bills were settled earlier today. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/BM, GMA Integrated News
