PAGASA issued a red rainfall warning for Metro Manila, Bataan, and parts of Cavite on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at 8 a.m.
The affected areas in Cavite are Bacoor, Dasmarinas, Kawit, Noveleta, Imus, Cavite City, General Trias, and Rosario.
Those under a red rainfall warning may experience serious flooding in flood-prone areas.
Meanwhile, an orange rainfall warning was raised over Rizal, Laguna, Batangas, Zambales, Pampanga, Bulacan and Cavite (Alfonso, Amadeo, General Emilio Aguinaldo, Indang, Magallanes, Maragondon, Mendez, Silang, Tagaytay, Ternate, Trece Martires, Carmona, Gen. Mariano Alvarez, Naic, Tanza).
Residents in the above-mentioned areas are advised that flooding is still threatening.
A yellow rainfall warning on the other hand was hoisted over Nueva Ecija, Tarlac and Quezon.
These areas will have flooding in flood-prone areas.
“The public and the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices concerned are advised to MONITOR the weather condition and watch for the next warning to be issued at 11:00 AM today,” PAGASA said.
The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat will bring cloudy skies and rains over parts of the country, the weather bureau said in its forecast for the day.
PAGASA is also monitoring two low pressure areas inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, one of which has a “high” chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours. —KG, GMA Integrated News
