CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A Vietnamese woman and her Chinese companion sought the help of barangay watchmen in Bacoor, Cavite after they were robbed in Pasay City on Friday night.
Barangay officials rushed Le Thi Bao Yen, 27, to the Southern Tagalog Regional Hospital in Bacoor for treatment of stab wounds in the legs and abdomen.
The victim was immediately discharged after receiving treatment.
Investigation showed the victim and her friend, whose name was not immediately available, were in a car when they were pulled over by a man near E-Com Center in Pasay.
She said the man quickly opened the car’s door and grabbed her personal belongings.
The victim said she tried to stop the man, but he stabbed her several times before fleeing.
The victim said she continued driving until she and her friend reached Barangay Talaba 2 where they asked assistance from village watchmen.
