Property developer Nuestra Development Corp. (NuDev) has officially broken ground on SalWalk, a 1.8-hectare mixed-use lifestyle hub set to rise in the center of Dasmariñas, Cavite.
In a news release, NuDev said SalWalk is designed as a walkable and sustainable commercial complex that aims to integrate green open spaces with retail outlets, dining establishments, and co-working areas.
The project is positioned to tap into the rapid urban growth of Dasmariñas, the wealthiest city in Cavite and a major hub in the CALABARZON region.
“SalWalk is more than just a commercial asset; it is a platform for progress,” said Atty. Janice Ian Delfin, NuDev president, during the groundbreaking ceremony held on June 26, 2025. “It offers investors and businesses a chance to be part of a dynamic, future-ready, and values-driven environment.”
The development is part of NuDev’s broader strategy to deliver purpose-driven projects that create long-term social and economic impact.
“Here, we don’t just measure success by square footage. Rather, we measure it by the lives we impact and the communities we uplift,” said Dra. Evangeline Del Rosario, property owner and shareholder of the Nuestra Group.
NuDev is planning future expansions for SalWalk, with potential additions such as innovation centers and evolving commercial features aligned with emerging market demands.
Key stakeholders and financiers present at the ceremony included Dr. Benjamin Del Rosario; Dr. T. Chandroo, Chairman and CEO of Modern Montessori International Group; Dr. Alok Khullar, Group CEO of RJ Corp. Retail Healthcare; and representatives from Development Bank of the Philippines, Bank of the Philippine Islands, and Rural Bank of Lipa.
SalWalk is expected to contribute to the continued economic growth of Dasmariñas and strengthen its position as a commercial and lifestyle center in Southern Luzon, according to NuDev.—Ted Cordero/LDF, GMA Integrated News
