(UPDATE) CAVITE 4th District Rep. Francisco “Kiko” Barzaga on Tuesday made public his statement of assets, liabilities and net worth (SALN) for 2025, which showed he has a net worth of P5.375 million.
In his SALN filed on July 1, Barzaga did not list any real properties under his name, but he noted that he has P3.025 million in cash from a 2019 donation and P2.35 million from monthly income from 2019 to 2024.
Barzaga also did not list any business interests, but listed his relatives in government services, such as his mother, Dasmariñas Mayor Jennifer Barzaga, brother Vice Mayor Elpidio Barzaga, aunt and special assistant Jocelyn Austria, and uncle Trece Martires Board Member Nickanor Austria Jr.
In a post on his Facebook page, he noted that he has not included the untransferred and inherited assets from his late father, former Dasmariñas representative Elpidio Barzaga Jr., as well as vehicles, property and cash amounting to an estimated total of P35 million.
Barzaga is the latest House member to release his SALN days after Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Remulla lifted a previous order that requires notification of a declarant to release their own SALNs.
Over the weekend, Makabayan bloc lawmakers Antonio Tinio, Renee Co and Sarah Elago released their own SALNs as part of transparency.
As of July 1, Co had a net worth of P280,000, Elago had P1.03 million and Tinio had P10.937 million.
Dinagat Islands Rep. Arlene Bag-ao also declared a net worth of P15.052 million, while Akbayan Party-list Representatives Chel Diokno, Percival Cendana and Dadah Ismula had a net worth of P13.185 million, P1 million and P3.246 million, respectively.
Speaker Faustino Dy III had earlier said the House would review the rules on the public disclosure of SALNs of its members to promote transparency and accountability, and that he is ready to make his own SALN public to set an example. He has not done so yet, however.
