A barangay kagawad was shot to death inside his vehicle by riding-in-tandem suspects in Barangay Bagtas in Tanza, Cavite.
According to Raffy Tima’s report in “24 Oras” on Monday, victim Christopher Aron was shot at four times. He was hit in the neck which led his death two hours after the incident.
(This was planned. From his house to the barangay hall, the suspects had been trailing him. So two men in a motorcycle followed his vehicle.)
Aron’s partner and their four children immediately exited the vehicle after it came to a stop. All of them were unharmed, police said.
The victim’s family decided to keep quiet regarding the incident. But they shared that they have noticed some people roaming near their residence since March per the report.
Authorities said that the victim had no quarrel with anyone. However, Aron was seen as the likely next barangay captain.
(We are looking at many angles including his work in the barangay and him being a businessman. We also followed up with the court if there are cases involving him. We found out that he was involved in a vehicular accident before.)
The Tanza Police is seeking the public’s help in giving any tips regarding the case to locate the suspects. —Vince Angelo Ferreras/RF, GMA Integrated News
