Board member Francisco Gabriel “Abeng” Remulla has won Cavite’s gubernatorial race and has been proclaimed by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) City Provincial Board of Canvassers on Tuesday.
Comelec’s Board of Canvassers tallied 1,058,412 for Remulla.
Remulla is the son of Justice Secretary Jesus Crisipin Remulla and nephew of Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla.
Meanwhile, unopposed Ram Revilla Bautista has also been proclaimed as vice governor of Cavite after earning 1,178,445 votes.
Ram’s brother, Jolo Revilla, was re-elected as Cavite First District representative and their mother, Lani Mercado, also won another term as Cavite Second District Representative. —Vince Angelo Ferreras/ VAL, GMA Integrated News
