IMUS CITY, Cavite — Imus City Mayor Alex Advincula led the inauguration of the first-ever government-owned rental housing project at Green Estate Subdivision, Barangay Malagasang I-F.
The city government hopes that the apartment-for-rent project, known as the AAngat Residences, will provide safe, dignified and affordable shelter to residents living in danger zones.
“This is a testament to the city government’s steadfast commitment to improving the quality of life for Imuseños and fostering a more sustainable community,” Advincula said.
The AAngat Residences can house 62 families, with each unit having a floor area of 24 square meters. Rental fee is P2,000 per furnished unit, but tenants need not shell out an advance rental payment and deposit.
The four-story building has a total floor area of 1,998.24 square meters.
Some of the beneficiaries from Barangay Poblacion and Barangay Anabu have already received their house keys.
The ceremonial blessing and the unveiling of the building marker were also attended by Imus City Vice Mayor Homer Saquilayan, City Councilor Darwin Remulla, and other city officials.
The AAngat Residences is a priority project of the Advincula administration.
