LAUNCHED on Sept. 9, Cypress Place Woodland Community in Silang, Cavite, was “designed to offer the quiet luxury of modern cabin living,” said Ar. Monique C. Albert-Lopez. She described the experience as “cool breezes, natural surroundings, and the comfort of a space crafted for overall wellness and the modern way of life, including a work-from-home setup.”
Albert-Lopez is the co-founder and managing director of Livingsprings Communities Realty and Development Corporation (LCRDC), which is developing Cypress Place as its first house-and-lot project. The new horizontal property marks the company’s move to diversify its lineup, which includes two residential condominium properties in Quezon City and Taguig.
The expansion caters to the growing preference for “nature-inspired, sustainable living outside the metro,” said Albert-Lopez. Silang’s cool climate, fertile soil, and proximity to Tagaytay, plus accessibility to urban centers in south Metro Manila, made the upland town the company’s first choice to locate its first landed homes project.
Cypress Place has quick access via the Calax (Cavite-Laguna Expressway) East and Cavitex Link to landmarks such as Bonifacio Global City and Alabang Town Center, both approximately one hour away. The property is just 30 minutes and 10 minutes away from Nuvali and Tagaytay, respectively.
The weather and lush natural surroundings are a key attraction of Cypress Place. “There’s no need for air-conditioning,” Albert-Lopez said, describing Silang’s climate as “sweater weather,” with the occasional fog rolling in. Silang, with its rich soil, is also well-known as home to many plant nurseries and gardens. Albert-Lopez added, “Everything you plant here blossoms.”
Situated on 5.8 hectares in Barangay Santol, just a few minutes from Aguinaldo Highway, Cypress Place will have 304 modern cabin-inspired homes built with locally sourced materials. Development will begin in the first phase in the area named Northloop. Options for single, attached and clustered homes, with balconies, front porches, and space for gardens, will be available to home buyers. Delivery of the homes is expected in 24 months, Albert-Lopez said.
The homes will have natural-look finishes and open layouts to maximize natural light and airflow. Sustainability features and energy-saving measures will be put in place, such as LED lights, dual-flush systems, and thermally insulated walls. Cypress Place’s amenities include the clubhouse, swimming pool and lounge, gym, main park, picnic areas, half basketball court, pickleball court, play areas and meditation pods.
Walkability, integration with greenery, and biophilic design will enhance the human-to-nature connection. Cypress Place will have landscaped green zones for exercise and recreational activities. Roads will be lined with trees, and the community is envisioned to become a bird sanctuary.
Albert-Lopez is well aware of the importance of Philippine native trees and was warned against using the invasive mahogany, which has deleterious effects on the environment. “We will choose the plants and trees that the birds love,” she said.
With home prices ranging from P5.5 million to P16 million, Cypress Place is positioned as a “staycation in your very own home” for young families, overseas Filipino workers (OFW), retirees, and vacation home buyers. The gated property is being marketed to investors as an “airbnb paradise” and is expected to appreciate by at least 5 percent annually. Future phases will include commercial and retail establishments.
Cypress Place recently won two 5-star awards from the Asia Pacific Property Awards 2025: the 5-star Best Residential Development 20+ Units and the 5-star Best Architecture Multiple Residences. The awards, Albert-Lopez said, reinforce “our vision that thoughtful design can truly transform everyday living.”
