MANILA, Philippines — Ten people were arrested after they allegedly beat up two minors in a fraternity hazing in Noveleta, Cavite yesterday.
The suspects, aged 15 to 33, were collared by peacekeeping officers of Barangay San Rafael III at around 12:30 a.m.
Police said the victims, aged 15 and 18 years, suffered bruises and hematomas in their bodies.They were taken to a hospital for treatment.
The Calabarzon police identified the suspects only by their aliases Cholo, Christian, John, Jasper, Jumong, Mark, Mill, Ramil, Jason and Tristan.
A manhunt was launched for another suspect, police said.
Probers did not disclose the name or the fraternity of the suspects.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 8049 or the Anti-Hazing Law will be filed against the suspects, authorities said.
