NOVELETA, Cavite – Dialysis patients who are residents of Noveleta and the 1st district of Cavite no longer need to travel far with the opening of the Noveleta Dialysis Center on the 3rd floor of the Noveleta MedCare Center in Bgy. San Jose 1 on Monday.
Mayor Davey Chua led the monitoring of the soft opening of the first dialysis hub in the town and the entire first district of the province.
With the collaboration of the local government unit (LGU), Nephro Plus and PhilHealth, the facility is now operational for those who need dialysis and no longer need to travel far for treatment.
The dialysis hub has 12 brand new units of B Braun dialysis machines that can accommodate 24 patients a day.
According to Chua, dialysis is free for all PhilHealth members.
“You no longer have to travel far to get dialysis, some have even gone to NKTI (National Kidney Transplant Institute) in Quezon City to get dialysis, others to Bacoor, Las Piñas and Tanza and to GEAMMH in Trece Martires,. You can now save on time and cost of transportation,” Mayor Chua said.
Three dialysis patients were the first to attend the initial opening of the facility.
According to one of the three patients who has been on dialysis for a year, they no longer need to pay a fare to go to the dialysis center, which will reduce their expenses.
The dialysis hub was started during the term of Vice Mayor Dino Chua, when he was still mayor of the town in 2024.
