IMUS CITY, Cavite — The city government of Imus has partnered with a private company to offer free chemotherapy treatment for Imuseños who are members of PhilHealth.
Cancer patients can now avail of the free services with the opening of the Imus Chemotherapy Center on Oct. 20, 2025, at the Ospital ng Imus Compound, Pedro Reyes St., Malagasang I-G, city of Imus, Cavite.
Imus City Mayor Alex Advincula expressed his gratitude to Dr. John Paul Aclan for agreeing to partner with the city government for the program.
A total of 676 PhilHealth members are already slated to receive free cancer treatment even before the center had opened.
Advincula said chemotherapy treatment is very important for cancer patients.
“One session is very expensive, about one hundred thousand pesos will be spent in just one session and some patients even need to undergo up to 9 sessions,” the mayor said.
“For our countrymen who cannot afford treatment, this is the solution.”
The center can serve up to 20 patients at a time.
