THE Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (Aaccup) has certified seven academic programs in three Cavite State University (CvSU) colleges and three CvSU campuses.
The CvSU College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences’ Doctor of Veterinary Medicine earned the highest Aaccup accreditation of Level 4 Reaccredited.
It was followed by courses at the CvSU College of Economics, Management and Development Studies for its Bachelor of Science (BS) Accountancy, Level 3 Reaccredited; and CvSU Naic Campus for its BS Fisheries and Aquatic Science, Level 3 Reaccredited.
This was also the case with the programs of Silang Campus for its BS Education and BS Business Administration, Level 3 Reaccredited.
The CvSU College of Agriculture, Food, Environment and Natural Resources and Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship passed phase 1 of the third survey visit; and CvSU General Trias Campus for its BS in Education, Level 1 Accredited.
Aaccup said CvSU reflected a collaborative commitment to excellence.
In her speech at a recent investiture, CvSU President Ma. Agnes Perido-Nuestro outlined her vision for the university, anchored on the “IDEAL“ framework: Inclusive and Accessible Education; Dynamic and Competitive Research and Innovation; Empowered Communities and Stronger Partnerships; Accountable and Client-Centered Governance; and Long-lasting and Sustainable Resource Generation.
This roadmap aims to elevate CvSU as a premier university not only in the Philippines but also across the global academic landscape.
As the university community looks ahead, expectations are high for Dr. Perido-Nuestro’s administration to foster innovation, expand research capabilities, and strengthen partnerships with local and international institutions. Her presidency is seen as a beacon of hope and progress, especially in a time when higher education faces evolving challenges and opportunities.
