OVER P20 million worth of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu were seized from a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sahud Ulan, Tanza, Cavite that also resulted in the arrest of five suspects on Wednesday, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said.
During the operation, PDEA intercepted a brown-colored packing containing a vacuum-sealed plastic with suspected shabu approximately weighing one kilogram and another two red-colored packings with similar contents weighing approximately two kilograms.
Authorities also recovered from the suspects one genuine P1,000, one red Toyota Vios, one brown Toyota Vios, four Android phones, one analog phone, several identification cards and assorted documents.
The arrested suspects will be facing charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) under Article II of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. IZEL ABANILLA
