Police in Kawit, Cavite, arrested a woman who had been wanted for estafa and falsification of public documents since 2018.
According to Emil Sumangil’s exclusive report on “24 Oras” on Friday, the suspect, who used different identities, has been forging vehicle registrations.
“Dinidispatsya kasama po yung kotse ng mga dokumentong ito,” said Philippine National Police Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) spokesperson Police Lieutenant Nadame Malang.
(These documents are being dispatched along with the cars.)
Investigation also showed that the suspect receives stolen vehicles, then forges the documents for them, and they would be sold right away, the report said.
“Ang benta po niya ng mga nakukuha niyang sasakyan ay mababa po sa standard price… Naniniwala kami na hindi niya kayang gawin nang mag-isa lang… Kailangan i-check natin kung kanino natin isasanla ito pong ating mga sasakyan,” said Malang.
(The selling price of the vehicles she gets is lower than the standard price… We believe she can’t do it alone… We need to check who we are pawning our vehicles to.)
