IMUS CITY — Officials in this city and the provincial government of Cavite, together with the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), commemorated the 127th anniversary of the Battle of Alapan with a flag-raising and wreath-laying ceremony at the Dambana ng Pambansang Watawat (Heritage Park) in Barangay Alapan II-B here on Wednesday, May 28.
It was on this day, 127 years ago, when the Philippine flag was first unfurled following the first victory of the Filipino revolutionaries against the Spanish naval infantry in Alapan, Imus.
